If you've been following me on Instagram, you've gotten a big peek at a new quilt I've designed called Arrow. I've been excited to share this one for a while!
I designed this for an Australian magazine called Quilts From Precut Fabrics issue no. 5. It's now on newstands in Australia, but don't worry--if you're not living Down Under, you can just snag a digital copy of the magazine here.
It's a fat quarter quilt, and assembly is so much fun! I've picked blues, greens, and reds from my Little Miss Sunshine fabric collection (now in shops). One of my favorite things about this quilt is the honeycomb quilting by Abby Latimer. It is just perfect for summer, don't you think?

This quilt is really a pretty boyish design, what fabrics will you make yours out of to give it your own spin?

When Life is Scrappy >>> Make a Quilt

When Life is Scrappy MBS
Hello friends! I've got something pretty great for you today. A couple years ago, Moda came out with this amazing free alphabet pattern called Spell It With Moda. I was dying to make one but was too busy to get around to making one. I don't feel bad at all with how long it's taken me, though, because I'm glad I had that time to consider what message I wanted to spell out on a quilt. And now you're really in luck, because I've made a tutorial on how to make one just like mine. It's up on the Moda Bake Shop here.

In addition to the free alphabet patterns, you will see instructions for 2 different space-filler blocks--an arrow block, and a small sawtooth star filler block.

Here is a quick reference to where you can find each letter's pattern (click on the letter you are looking for):

Cottage Blossoms Mini

LB151 Cottage Blossoms Mini cover
If you've been following me on Instagram (@lellaboutique), you've already seen a sneak peek of this cute new mini quilt I've been putting together. Well I've finally got the pattern written and printed up in a cute little 6-page booklet. So glad it's finally ready to share!
The pattern is called Cottage Blossoms Mini, and as the name implies--it's a miniature version of my Cottage Blossoms pattern that debuted in Little Miss Sunshine fabric last fall--probably my favorite quilt to date! This mini version is in my new fabric Olive's Flower Market

The pattern is now available in my shop as a PDF or paper pattern and is perfect for all of those scraps you're trying to use up.
I'm offering a 20% discount in my shop through the weekend when you purchase 2 items or more using the promo code FLOWERPOWER20 at checkout. Now I'm thinking crazy thoughts like making a quilt out of a bunch of these mini blocks!

FQS Simple Zipper Bag

I thought things would slow down after quilt market...not so, ha ha. Luckily, I allowed myself a little break yesterday to whip up this totally sweet Simple Zipper Bag by Sherri McConnell for Fat Quarter Shop. Check out the full video here
This was quick and easy to make--I literally made it last night after I put the kids in bed! I used fabric from my new line, Olive's Flower Market (shipping to shops in November).
